Visit the arboretum while you are here, with a chance to see rare, ordinary and even surprising tree species, like the mysterious monkey puzzle tree... In all, there are 96 varieties with 2/3 of the deciduous trees divided into plots of 25 trees in 4 different areas... During your visit, you can read the information panels for interesting information and scientific facts about the different trees. Accessible all the year round, good walking shoes recommended... A detailed visitors' booklet is fre from La Chaise-Dieu Tourist Information Office. There is a hiking trail (PR103) leaving from La Chaise-Dieu and leading here directly through the beautiful forests nearby...
