To enter the Bois du Clapay is to enter an enchanted world. Geological phenomena have left behind some of nature's little wonders. At high water, the Rande stream appears and feeds a gour (cave-in). Here is the entrance to a small cave, there a lapiaz... a limestone bed sculpted by erosion. The ambient humidity favors the growth of mosses, which create a distinctive decor. It's an invaluable natural site for understanding our karstic relief and soothing yourself with a cool summer bath. Reservations required.
