Where Beaufort cheese has been made since 1932 and until 1978, there seemed to be no future in sight for Longefoy's old fruitière, with its typical vaults and exposed stone cellar.
Because "L'Autrefoy" is not only a focal point that brings the village back to life, but also pays tribute to the history of Longefoy and its fruitière through a respectful and inspired renovation, the project has "got most of the locals on board".

The photographs and objects from the past that have (re)taken their place in the place are no coincidence: (original Beaufort press, tools, skimmer, cauldron and hearth currently being restored...).

Unguided tour of the village's old dairy, according to our opening hours. On display: old maturing cellar, tools of yesteryear, cauldron, press...
