Of original construction entirely in wood, you will be charmed by their cosy and comfortable atmosphere. Composed of a comfortable living room-kitchen area, a real bathroom with shower and sink, nothing is missing. On the first floor, you will reach the sleeping area, like in a cabin in the woods! A sofa bed on the ground floor can be used as an extra bed if necessary. These original accommodations are located within the campsite*** Domaine de Mépillat, offering various activities (heated swimming pool, inflatable structure, children's playground, fitness area, petanque field, ping-pong tables...). On the spot, on the terrace, it will also be possible to have a drink, to eat or to taste one of the numerous ice creams prepared on the spot. The campsite is located in the quiet countryside of Saint-Nizier le Bouchoux, along a large fishing pond, you will easily find many walks accessible to all, to discover on foot or by bike. Otherwise, because of its privileged situation between Bresse bourguignonne and the foothills of the Jura, the campsite will be the ideal starting point to visit many cultural or natural curiosities in the surroundings.
Sustainable tourism
The campsite is respectful of its environment on a daily basis. For example, rainwater is recovered for watering flowers and plants, the mulching method is used to mow the grass, thus enriching the soil and reducing waste, light bulbs are changed or replaced by low-energy LED lamps, an educational garden is available for customers on which there is a composter allowing the recycling of many natural waste. Moreover, since 2022, the campsite is classified as a LPO refuge, thus allowing the development and protection of biodiversity.
