Because of the many signposted paths on the Danay, this route can be extended or shortened to suit you (card strongly recommended).

Route from the picnic area:
Follow the marked path towards Le Danay. At the crossroads of the forest track, turn left and go up to Frasse Girard. Turn right onto the path that joins the road to Le Danay. Follow it to the alpine farm at the end of the gravel road. Go to the summit (orientation table) and back. To return, from the farm take the path that goes down to the edge of the wood. Turn left onto the path that descends for 100m. At the crossroads, turn right onto the path that joins the road. Cross the road, and take the path 50m further up which will take you back to your car.
