Tribute to Stéphane Grappelli - Jazz Manouche It's been over 25 years since the passing of the immeasurable instrumentalist Stéphane Grappelli. His whole life was marked by exceptional musical encounters: Django Reinhardt, with whom he created the legendary "Hot Club de France", Oscar Peterson, and violin icon Yehudi Menuhin, to name but a few. One thing's for sure: the inventor of the jazz violin left an indelible mark on the world music scene, and touched a wide audience. So it's only natural that violinist Florin Niculescu has continued to carry the flambeau of Stéphane Grappelli's music around the world for the past 30 years, bringing his violin to life in a sound universe of magnifique sensitivity. Florin Niculescu has combined his artistic image with that of Stéphane Grappelli, reviving the musical legacy of his friend and master with incredible virtuosity and indescribable joy. He is considered by the international press and public alike to be Stéphane Grappelli's most worthy heir. For this tribute, Florin Niculescu joins forces with another legendary artist, guitarist Rocky Gresset.
