Description
Start in front of Saint-Médard-en-Forez church.
- Turn right along the church, Passage François Jacquemont, then right again, Rue de la mairie. In front of the castel entrance, take the Chemin des Planchettes downhill. Cross the stream and take the left-hand path.
- When you reach the road, cross the D6 and go straight ahead. Turn left onto Route du Buyet. Take the 1st track on the left. Once on the small road, go straight on Chemin de Bartassy. Continue until you reach the D10. Follow it to the right for around 100 m, then turn right at the cross (on the other side of the road), Chemin de Précuminal. Continue along the pleasant dirt track.
- Continue on the tarmac, heading for Saint-Galmier. At the stop sign, turn left as far as Pont des Romains. Before the bridge, turn left, then right at the Chemin de la Teillère bend. At the small traffic circle, continue straight ahead and at the 2nd traffic circle, take the 2nd exit (opposite).
- At the traffic lights, turn left and drive 150 m towards the Jet d'Eau traffic circle. Before the roundabout, cross the road and turn right towards Rivas (RD 101), skirting the HLM housing estate. Cross the road and turn left onto the Chemin de Jourcey. Continue along this road, crossing the railroad line and leaving Jourcey Abbey on your right. Take the small shoulder on the right of the road and turn right onto Chemin du Bois Brulé for about 1.3 km. When you reach the RD1082, cross it and continue straight on Rue Frédéric Mistral. At the stop sign, continue straight ahead on chemin des Crozets. At the crossroads, turn left. The path then runs alongside the Loire for 900 m, in the direction of Rivas.
- When you reach the village, turn left at the "croix des Mariniers". Finally, near the bridge over the Loire, turn right into the village of Rivas and the town hall.
