Philinthe loves Climène. But the belle is quite light-hearted, attached to her freedoḿ, and doesn't intend to give her heart away so easily. The shepherd confides his sincere dismay to twilight nature, before falling into a restless sleep. Let's follow the amorous torments of our spurned shepherd as he penetrates the intimacý of a late 17th-century salon, where the most refined melodies and the tenderness of the traverso depict a fantasized pastoral universe, untouched by the intrigues of Versailles.
