La Tour du Pin Montauban (1750-1810) was Marquis of Soyans and Governor of Crest.
The building, also known as the "Maison de l'asile maternel", was a nursery school until 1977, when it became the home of social and cultural services.
The Rue de la République facade, rebuilt under Louis XV (during the 18th century), is sculpted with seven heads representing the seven deadly sins (wrought-iron balusters). The interior remains 17th-century.
