In the exhibition rooms, you can discover how gold threads were made, the silkworm cycle, the social contribution of the Canuts, Jacquard's invention and the reality of the textile industry today. Take a guided tour of the workshop and learn about Jacquard's invention, illustrated by a weaving demonstration. The tour continues with a look at the history of Lyon's silk industry over 5 centuries, the social contribution of the canuts and the reality of the textile industry today.
