A hike offering panoramic views of the entire Abondance valley and the Swiss peaks.
From the Sevan parking lot (1,590 m), the hike begins with a forest path leading to the chalet du Mouet. You'll then follow a long path on the balcony of the valley, with a superb panorama of Mont de Grange. You're on the Portes du Soleil walking tour.
You'll then make a return trip to the Pointe de Recon, where a panoramic view of the entire French and Swiss Chablais awaits you at the summit.
From there, you'll reach the Chalets du Mouet. In summer, you can take a gourmet break at this mountain pasture or buy Abondance cheese.
For the return journey, head for Le Douert, then take the pleasant forest path back to the starting point.
Guidebook with maps/step-by-step
1/ Start from the Sevan parking lot (1,590 m) in La Chapelle d'Abondance. 2/ Take the forest path towards the "Chalets du Mouet". 3/ Before reaching the Chalets du Mouet, turn left towards the Pointe de Recon. Make a round trip to the summit. 4/ Reach the "Chalets du Mouët", then take the path below towards "Douert". 5/ Then take the forest path back to the "Sevan devant" starting point.

From 01/06 to 30/09. Accessible except during snow and depending on weather conditions. Please check with the Tourist Office for the latest information on access conditions. This route is usually suitable for strong walkers during spring, summer, and autumn, except in adverse weather.
