The MB RACE has been in existence since 2010. This demanding and breathtaking mountain bike race takes place in the Les Portes du Mont-Blanc area (Combloux, Megève, La Giettaz, Cordon, Sallanches). It stands out in the panorama of mountain biking because it is the only one that has such a long-distance one-day event: 140 km with 7000 meters of positive altitude difference. A race that counted only 1 finisher out of 600 riders in 2010, which earned it the toughest racing label in the world.
The event remains OPEN TO ALL with its 8 events offered.
On the agenda for the 2023 edition:
* MB Ultimate: 230 km The MB made a promise during its 1st edition: take you further, and that’s what the MB Ultime offers! A journey of 230 km and 11,000 m of D+ to be carried out, in teams of 2, in a maximum of 36h. This format of Ultra Endurance is for adventurers who want to push their limits and share with their companion exceptional moments, in grandiose scenery.
* MB Ultra Somfy: 70 km | 100 km | 140 km A race now mythical on the trails of the Mont Blanc country. After a common start, the riders will be able to decide in due time if they want to stop or continue until the final distance and thus join the Finisher circle of the most difficult mountain bike race in the world.
* MB Explore: 55km The MB Explore offers a course with a unique distance of 55 km for 2800 m of D+. This race format will allow you to connect Combloux to Megève by a brand new route taking you on demanding trails through extraordinary landscapes! The MB Explore is 55 km of challenge, of surpassing oneself, of landscape, of view on the Mont-Blanc, and of pleasure for lovers of mountain biking!
* MB First: 20km | 35km This year, the participants who will start on the MB First will have 2 distances to choose from to reach Combloux in Megève: 20 km & 895 m D+ | 35 km & 1400 m of D+. Between discovering the Mont-Blanc region and sporting performance, this race will delight all lovers of beautiful mountain bike trails. The essential landscapes of the estate and the breathtaking views on the roof of Europe make this experience all the more memorable! The MB First is open from the category Cadet (15-16 years) only on the distance 20km. Thus all categories will be represented on this MB Race!
* MB Enduro: 5 Special The MB Enduro continues its way in 2023 and gives you an appointment in Megève! It retains its one-day format and on-sight piloting – no recce, an old-fashioned enduro appreciated by its loyal drivers. The MB Enduro has seduced for years by the quality of its tracks but also thanks to its friendly and festive atmosphere with on the program: 5 specials chrono, a Diots Party, friends, an exceptional setting and good foam at the finish to end a good day of riding and fun facing the roof of Europe.
* MB FTT In 2023, we offer a new addition to the MB Race program with the arrival of the MB FTT in electric touring mode! In collaboration with the Comité Handisport de Haute Savoie et Loisirs Assis Evasion, a 20 km and 8o0 m D+ course is offered to people with disabilities. The goal is to promote this discipline and allow as many people as possible to participate in the MTB festival that is the MB Race!
* MB E-rando: 20km | 45km Driven by the future of cycling, the MB Race also knows how to discover its hiking trails on mountain biking. A format that will delight lovers of beautiful routes. Food in the colors of the soil and festive entertainment.
* MB Kids The MB Kids is the race of the MB Race reserved for small champions between 7 and 14 years old! Future budding champions will be the MB Finishers of tomorrow!
* MB Kids Discovery The MB Kids Discovery: a first step in the MB Race 100% leisure! Does your child want to learn mountain biking? The MB Race is launching a new 100% leisure event for children who do not want to start the competition right away. On the MB Kids Découverte, children will be supervised by state qualified instructors on fun and educational workshops to progress while having fun!
* MB Balance Bike The MB Balance bike is the race of the little ones for a nice start on the MB Race. For children, this bike without pedal and wheels is a perfect learning of balance, it allows to progress much faster with 2 wheels taking a maximum of pleasure!
