Sculpture d' Oliver Laric - Biennale Artocène
Saint-Gervais-les-Bains

For Artocène 2025, Oliver Laric unveils a specific production revolving around the
ski lift infrastructure at Le Bettex. He presents a sort of counterpart to the augmented human: the machine becomes animal through anthropomorphic
features, and more specifically around the figure of the Bearded Vulture.
Born in 1981 in Innsbruck, Austria. The artist lives and works in Berlin.
He has been active in the “post-internet” artistic movement since 2006. In particular, he questions the principle of the mutability of online images, showing that no graphic production is set in stone, that they are all liable to inspire one another, and that at any moment they can be modified, manipulated or even hijacked. Since the late 2010s,
he has been developing an artistic production that is material but still rooted in digital art.
