To be able to sleep in an original accommodation coming from a distant country, what could be more exciting! It is possible by staying at the Camping*** Domaine de Mepillat in Saint Nizier le Bouchoux. Real Mongolian yurts, entirely handmade, are waiting for you to discover the surprising impression of calm and tranquility that is felt when you close the small door that gives access to the dwelling. You will sleep on comfortable hand-painted wooden beds and, weather permitting, you can leave the Ursh open, the square canvas that covers the top of the yurt, letting you admire the stars. In addition, you can take advantage of all the other services offered by the campsite: heated swimming pool, children's play area, inflatable structure, ball game field, petanque field, fitness area. Moreover, on the snack bar terrace, you will find hot and cold drinks, a large choice of ice creams, pizzas... Finally, you will find just next to the campsite a pond for fishing enthusiasts or multiple departures for walks through the countryside, to be done on foot or by bike.
Sustainable tourism
The campsite *** Domaine de Mepillat is resolutely turned towards the nature which surrounds it. It offers a changing spectacle throughout the day. But we must thank nature for what it offers us and protect it. To do so, small gestures on a daily basis allow the protection of this wealth: rainwater is recovered for the benefit of watering plants and flowers, a composter is available to all for the recovery of organic waste, the grass is cut by mulching, thus enriching the soil and avoiding the storage of waste, an educational garden is available within the campsite. Since this year, the campsite is a LPO refuge: its domain and the way it is maintained, allows the protection of various breeds of birds, but also of wild animals.
