A visit to the arboretum is the chance to see rare, ordinary or even surprising trees like the mysterious monkey puzzle tree... In all, there are 96 varieties with 2/3 of the deciduous trees in plots of 25 trees in 4 different areas... Along the way, small information panels include interesting stories and scientific information about the various trees. As an almost unique site in France for its space dedicated to hedges, it draws attention to the importance of preservation and environmental awareness Accessible all the year round, good walking shoes recommended... A detailed visitors' booklet is available at the Chaise-Dieu Tourist Information Office. The site has a children's play area and picnic tables. A hiking trail (PR103) leaves from La Chaise-Dieu and leads directly to the site through the magnificent nearby forests...
