Children's groups : Traditional housing - Discovery visit

On the heights of the village of Abondance, explore a hamlet whose appearance is lovingly preserved and maintained by its inhabitants: its houses, its chapel...
Geography, traditional habitat, building materials, vernacular heritage and intangible heritage are some of the themes addressed to enable children to discover life in a mountain environment.

The meeting point is at the hamlet of Charmy l'Envers (2.5 km from the village centre).

Topics covered: geography of the valley, composition of a traditional mountain hamlet, architecture, materials, traditions and know-how.

Organisation: whole class.

A shop offers you local products, directly from local farmers or companies (Savoy cheeses, salted meats, jams, honey, books, souvenirs). Ask for the catalogue, place your order and collect it at the end of your visit!

All year round, daily except on January 1st and December 25th.

Group children: 4 to 4.50 € (4€ for primary >20 children and 4.50€ for primary <20 children, junior high & high school.).


Free of charge: 3 accompanying adults per class.
