Snowshoes are the most practical way of getting around in the snow, thanks to their large surface area in contact with the ground, which prevents you from sinking into the snow!

You don't need to learn how to use snowshoes before setting off with our professional, state-certified guide on a snowy trail.

In the snowy mountains of the Sancy, 30 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand, we offer you a friendly snowshoe hike lasting around 2.5 hours.

All you need is your mountain boots and good protection against the cold.

Your state-qualified guide will provide you with snowshoes and teach you the basics of walking on snow. At the end of the morning or afternoon snowshoe hike, we finish off with a snack.

Why snowshoes?
Snowshoes are the easiest way to get around on foot in fresh snow. They keep you from sinking. Attach them to waterproof hiking boots and walk without discomfort. After 5 minutes on your snowshoes, you won't know the difference!

Do I need to be a great athlete?
Snowshoe walking requires the same effort as walking on foot. You may have to climb a few hills, but our guide will adapt to your level of fitness!

But don't worry, you'll still be able to enjoy the Alpine scenery thanks to our snowshoe trek!

Who can participate?
If you're aged 8 or over and in good physical condition, you can come and hike with us!

Where can we hike?
Depending on snow and weather conditions, we offer hikes in various locations around Clermont-Ferrand. Sancy, Puy de Dôme, chaîne des puys, our guide will be spoilt for choice. You'll be accompanied by people who know the area like the back of their hand, so let them guide you! Daytime or evening, the choice is yours.

What's included?
Your snowshoe hike includes rental of snowshoes and poles, and accompaniment by our qualified guide.

What should I wear?
Ski clothing is totally appropriate for your hike. On your feet, you can wear waterproof hiking boots or snow boots (be careful not to wear too large moon-boots, as they won't fit into the snowshoe!).
