Via ferrata are equipped itineraries (cables, bars, ladders, sign bridges...) that are aerial but technically more or less easy. In Chamrousse, several via (ferrata or cordata) allow everyone (adults, children from 8 years old or 1m30) to discover this activity as they offer several levels of difficulty. For this activity, you will be accompanied by a high mountain guide.
- "Trois Fontaines" via ferrata The classic, affordable and fun via ferrata. This via ferrata follows a crossing route under the Chamrousse cross with bridges and footbridges. This itinerary lasts about 2h30.
- "Lacs Robert" via ferrata The sporty one, it climbs straight up the walls overlooking the magnificent Robert lakes. This via ferrata climbs along the cliffs overlooking the lakes and offers magnificent scenery with a beautiful panorama of the Robert Lakes and an impressive view of Grenoble at the finish. This itinerary lasts between 2h30 and 3h.
- "Traversée du Manqué" The aerial one, you climb and abseil. This wild and aerial itinerary varies between the via cordata (without cables) and the via ferrata. It offers sensations and an escape thanks to the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Indeed, this route is a viewpoint offering a perspective on the Robert lakes on one side and the Brèche de l'Homme on the other. This itinerary takes about 2 hours.
- "Plateau de l'Arselle" via The wild one, it offers the discovery of the valley between the Belledonne massif and the Grandes Rousses to the north, the Taillefer and the Oisans to the south. This hybrid route mixes via ferrata and via cordata. It is off the beaten track and offers a rare view from Chamrousse over the Romanche valley. This itinerary lasts about 2h30.
For those who do not wish to hike beforehand, it is advisable to buy a return ticket for the La Croix gondola (except for the Arselle via).
