Dans son nouveau disque-miroir, « The Lake », composé et réalisé avec Robin Foster, l’ex-fée folk de Cocoon a poussé le curseur encore plus loin en peignant une fresque intime, en clair-obscur, dans laquelle elle se confie sans filtres et s’affirme sans faux semblants.

Chez Morgane Imbeaud, tout est affaire de résonance. Après les nudités norvégiennes, place aux plongées dans les profondeurs, à travers des songs et des songes pop-rock électro. Il y a là des déchirures de guitares électriques, des halos de synthés hypnotiques, une voix au premier plan, plein fer, mais tout en velours. Des échos, slow tempo, envoûtants pour s’extraire des courses folles actuelles. Plus qu’un album, « The Lake » est une traversée.
