Ão | Festival Europavox 2024

Aux côtés du percussionniste Bert Peyffers, du guitariste et claviériste Siebe Chau et du bassiste Jolan Decaestecker, également producteur de cette escapade colorée, la chanteuse belge née au Portugal explore avec Ão les frontières de la folktronica.

Les compositions du groupe bruxellois se baladent dans des champs expérimentaux, des paysages instrumentaux minutieusement structurés. Leurs fragrances synthétiques et myriade de senteurs électroniques font écho à la mélancolie gracieuse de la légendaire Amália Rodrigues.

Conçu entre la Belgique et le Portugal, le premier album d’Ão bâtit des passerelles ensoleillées entre la mer du Nord et l’océan Atlantique. Avec une langueur nostalgique et un goût évident pour les voyages sonores, « Ao Mar « (‘À la mer’) définit de nouveaux espaces et territoires campés à la croisée des époques.
